Protests at The New School
Agitation at the New School over the leadership of president Bob Kerrey escalated in the past few days with a sit in by students at the Graduate Faculty Building at 65 5th ave and protests outside. Early this morning, the students occupying the building came to an agreement with Kerrey to grant amnesty to all participants, additional study space on campus, student representation on the Provost search committee, student representation on a committee for Socially Responsible Investing, empowerment of the University Student Senate to freely contact the entire student body, and University Student Senate representaiton on the Board of Trustees.
