Dance Rehearsal for HFC Anniversary

Tomorrow, Hope for Children (HFC), an organization here in Addis Ababa that shelters and helps educate children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic, will be celebrating its 9th anniversary.  The members of Sudden Flowers, the film collective I’m working with, have all benefited from HFC’s charitable work.  They are planning a dance performance and photography exhibition for the celebration.  I had a lot of fun sitting in on their rehearsals over the past few weeks as they hashed out the routine.  (They did their best to teach me some parts.  There’s video of that, but my internet connection isn’t good enough to upload it).  Yesterday, Yamrot and I hung the photographs outside HFC’s offices.
